Biography

Dora Zeneth Reynosa is a Mexican visual artist and muralist. Her artistic practice uses visual language as a socially engaged framework for cultural reclamation—documenting lived experiences and drawing from Latinx histories, aesthetics, and narratives in ways that reflect their ongoing presence, relevance, and connection to contemporary life and identity.

Thematically, her work engages with cultural identity, social equity, immigration, and mental health—articulated through a dynamic graphic visual language that sparks both reflection and action. She uses this language to explore the realities of undocumented residents in the United States and to create dialogue around the emotional impact of systemic marginalization, while also offering visions of collective growth and transformation. Collaboration is central to her process. She works with nonprofit organizations, schools, and community groups to expand access to creative expression—especially for youth and historically excluded communities. These partnerships allow her practice to move beyond individual expression and become a space for participation, exchange, and community-centered impact.

In 2024, she created a large-scale mural for an outdoor classroom at John Q. Adams Elementary (Dallas ISD) as part of the Cool Schools initiative, in partnership with The Walls Project and the Texas Tree Foundation. This project combined creativity, environmental awareness, and cultural identity to help shape an inspiring, inclusive learning environment for students.  In early 2025, to honor Dr. King’s legacy of service, she led a public mural workshop focused on reclaiming and reimagining a community space—activating collaboration, storytelling, and neighborhood pride. Also in 2024, she was commissioned by the Texas Rangers and MLB Life to design two hand-painted home plates for their All-Star Village exhibition, with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Tarrant County. She was also invited to create a live-painting activation that visualized the intersection of baseball culture and her own Latinidad.

Reynosa is committed to creating inclusive, collaborative, and evolving spaces—where art becomes a tool for reflection, civic responsibility, belonging, and the activation of collective consciousness to shape a more connected and just future.

At its core, her work seeks to amplify not only immigrant and Latinx voices but also our shared voice as human beings—emphasizing our capacity for love, evolution, and connection, both personally and as a society. She sees art as both a mirror and a bridge: a way to recognize ourselves, build understanding, and imagine new ways of interacting with one another.
